Q: Where is the seminar being held?

A: The seminar venue is listed in your confirmation letter. There may be instances where a venue change is necessary. If this occurs a Customer Service Representative will contact you both by phone and e-mail with the revised venue information at least two week prior to the start of class.

For answers to specific questions regarding the seminar venue (directions, parking, on-site facilities), we suggest you check the venue Web site for the most complete details.

You will receive a confirmation reminder email prior to the class start date with the specific meeting room name.

On the first morning of your seminar, the specific meeting room in which the program will be held should be posted on a Reader Board or Daily Event Schedule in the hotel or training facility.

Q: What are the class hours?

3, 4 and 5 day seminars start at 8:30AM and conclude at 5:00PM, with the exception of the final day which ends at 3:00PM.

2 day seminars start at 8:30AM and conclude at 5:00PM on the first day. The second day concludes at 3:30PM.

The instructor will host a social hour on the first day of all classes from 5:00PM to 6:00PM.

Please plan your homeward bound travel accordingly as any extended absence will result in reduced CPE credits.

Q: How many Continuing Professional Education Credits will I earn?

A:  2-day programs - 16 CPEs

     3-day programs - 24 CPEs

     4-day programs - 32 CPEs

     5-day programs - 40 CPEs

A Certificate of Attendance will be provided to you by the instructor at the conclusion of the program.

Please plan your homeward bound travel accordingly as any extended absence will result in reduced CPE credits.

Q: What is the proper attire?

A: "Business-casual" attire is appropriate for all MIS Training Institute programs. The temperature in many training facilities can vary greatly throughout the day. We advise that you dress in layers in order to be comfortable as the indoor climate changes.

Q: Are there refreshment breaks?

A: Sure. A Continental Breakfast (coffee, tea, juice, breakfast breads) is available at 8:00am daily. There are also mid-morning (coffee & soft drinks) and mid-afternoon (soft drinks & a snack) refreshment breaks daily.

Q: Is lunch provided?

A: Unless otherwise indicated, lunch is not provided as part of the program. There is a break for lunch each day usually from 12:00PM - 1:00PM. Your instructor or facility personnel can help with suggestions for lunch options within short walking distance of the seminar venue.

Q: Are there any "after-class" activities planned?

A: Yes. Your instructor will host an informal social hour from 5:00PM - 6:00PM after class on the first day. This is a great opportunity to unwind with your fellow classmates and to expand your personal network. We hope you will plan to stay for this social hour.

Q: What about travel and hotel reservations?

A: In general, we do not have designated guest room blocks at hotels. With the many discount options available today, including corporate, AAA, AARP and "Web" rates, we have found that most attendees prefer to research and to make their own hotel reservations. In those instances in which we do have an "MIS preferred rate" it will be included in your confirmation letter.

Q: What about cancellations? (ours)

A: MIS Training Institute makes every effort to run every program advertised. On occasion, it may be necessary to cancel or reschedule a program. We will give you as much advance notice as possible in such instances. We cannot, however, be responsible for penalties incurred as a result of discount hotel reservations or airfare purchases.

Q: What about cancellations? (yours)

A: If you have to cancel your registration, a full refund, less an administrative fee of $195, will be issued if your cancellation is received in writing up to 15 days before the seminar start date. Your registration fee is non-refundable if you cancel less than 14 days before the program, and the cancellation fee of $195 also applies. However a colleague is welcome to attend in your place for the same class date with no cancellation fee. If you do not cancel and do not attend, you are responsible for the full registration fee.

Q: What about cancellations for PERC members?

A: PERC members may cancel any public course registration, without penalty, at any time up to five business days prior to the public course start date. Cancellations made less than five business days but at least one business day prior to the course start date are subject to a $100 deduction from the PERC account. Those who do not cancel and do not attend will forfeit the full course fee.

Q: Are there other programs happening the same week?

A: You may wish to check the MISTI Course Catalog or go to to see if there are any other MIS seminars running the same week as the program you will be attending (either before or after) which might also be of interest to you. If so, please contact our Customer Service or Telesales staff to register and to find out about multiple course discounts.

Q: Are team discounts available?

A: Seminars: If 3 people register for the same seminar on the same date, each saves 10% off the seminar fee. All registrations must be made at the same time and paid for together.
