The HR function is an integral part of every organization’s success. Given the important role that human capital plays, it is imperative for internal auditors to examine the organization’s human resources infrastructure, review the function’s objectives, risks and controls, and provide management with helpful information to improve its effectiveness.

This three-day seminar covers how to assess the organizations’ ability to effectively mobilize its human capital resources, how to examine the risks of every stage of the employees’ life cycle, and provides essential techniques to audit the recruitment, interviewing, candidate selection, offer process, orientation, training and performance evaluation of company employees. Since risks abound in these activities, participants will learn how to identify the prevailing objectives, risks and controls to develop effective audit programs. Participants will also acquire the skills necessary to develop continuous auditing procedures to increase the effectiveness of audit procedures even further.

Auditing the human resources process provides many opportunities for internal auditors to add value to the business in very tangible ways while examining the level of compliance with prevailing laws, regulations and best practices. In this class you will learn how to perform high-quality audits of human resources and provide management with practical recommendations to maximize the contributions of their organizations’ human capital.
